Beams & ASICS are back with more GORE-TEX goodies for October 2022 with the recently launched GEL-KAYANO 14 GORE-TEX trainer as well a collection of performance apparel.
Whenever Beams & ASICS join forces, especially when there is GORE-TEX involved, it’s usually pretty special. 2019 saw the two Japanese brands collaborate on the GEL-Fujitrabuco, which looking back from a pre-covid perspective was well ahead of its time. The word Gorpcore might be something the real GORE-TEX hoarders of the world turn their noses up at, but there is no denying just how big the whole outdoors performance world has become. Admittedly it’s kind of cringe when you see the “Love Island” types on Insta now flocking like sheep to their local peaks, ditching the Gym King tracksuits & “bro workouts” for GORE-TEX jackets & countryside walks, but when all said and done who really cares? The fact is we all love a bit of GORE-TEX and this latest collaboration from Beams & ASICS is no different. The Beams x ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 GORE-TEX trainer is now introduced for October 2022.
Following in the footsteps of the last GORE-TEX collaboration from 2019 this latest release utilises one of the very latest silhouettes from the Japanese sportswear brand, the GEL-KAYANO 14 GORE-TEX trainer. As the name suggests the performance trainer features a waterproof GORE-TEX upper with a metal buckle fastening for an optimal support fit. The Gel-Kayano 14 sole unit is geared up for the harshest terrains and all day comfort. Other features include a detachable mosquito net if trawling through the jungles of Vietnam in your spare time happens to be your thing. Also included in the drop is a collection of GORE-TEX apparel and accessories including a sweatshirt, pants & bucket hat with bold GORE-TEX branding in yellow.
