For AW22 C.P. Company introduce their latest waxed cotton take on garment dyeing with Ba-Tic across a collection of classic goggle jackets, gilets & cross body bags.
C.P. Company have been setting the bar as far as fabric innovation goes for the last 50 years. Celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2021, the innovative Italian label has pioneered everything from garment dyeing to putting goggles in hoods. From a design perspective, C.P. Company’s innovation when it comes to fabrics is arguably one of the very best in the game. Following on from their latest GORE-TEX Infinium collection, C.P. Company now introduce Ba-Tic Natural Technology which utilises waxed cotton with yes you guessed it…garment dyeing.
Ba-Tic, which is short for Tinto in Capo (the Italian translation of Garment Dyed) draws inspiration from the traditional batik process where multi-coloured designs are created by using wax as a resist to multiple colour over-dyeing. The wax treatment, trapped in the seams, provides the resist. Utilising a waxed cotton cloth produced by Halley Stevensons, an iconic Scottish mill based in Dundee, which have been innovating textiles since 1864.
Featuring across a range of classic goggle jackets, gilets & cross body bags the Ba-Tic collection offers up some truly unique hues such as port-royal red & cumin brown. With an almost distressed like aesthetic, the Batik Waxed Resistance process also features across military inspired field jackets, multi-pocket lens gilets, cargo pants & bucket hats.
