You might remember when the Air Max Plus, or TN as it more commonly known, came back on the scene for its 20th anniversary in 2018. That ‘Hyper Blue’ colourway was literally the talk of the town for TN fans, but since its revival the Air Max Plus has really cemented its OG status. The 90s saw Air Max move like nothing Nike had ever done before with new iterations of models and sole technology landing literally every 6 months. As an Air Max fan at the time it was pretty crazy trying to keep on top of the releases. As new Air Max models came on the scene the previous ones were sort of forgotten about with OG models like the Air Max Plus growing more of a cult like status. Here in Manchester the TN has always been the king of the streets. Palm tree inspired caged uppers, wavey hues & the iconic TN logo was what put the trainer in a “visible air” category of its own. Closely connected with street culture, the Air Max Plus has gained a cult following from Salford’s scallies to Sydney’s eshay’s.
