The Liam Gallagher x Clarks Originals Rambler revives the classic crepe sole shoe for a very special collaboration with the king of swagger himself.
Before the days of Balenciaga binbags, balaclavas & beta-blocker taking trap stars there was this thing called Britpop. Although in their early days Oasis sounded more like The Stone Roses, maybe even a little grungy but more Madchester than misery, the Gallagher brothers pioneered the phycedelic inspired 60s sound of the mid 90s. Sticking two fingers up to the spiritless shoegazing scene of the early 90s with guitars ramped up to the max, lairy lyrics, big jackets & wallabees on feet, Britpop was as much about the style as it was its radio friendly sound. After previously getting squelched to death to the sounds of Acid House at Northern nightclubs like Manchester’s Hacienda & Back to Basics in Leeds in the late 80s & early 90s, the classic crepe sole shoes from British brands like Clarks Originals had found a new direction that were more about having it large with photographers than getting loved up with smiley faced’ t-shirt wearing teens. Apart from maybe the likes of Method Man & Ghost Face Killah, if there was one person that really put Clarks Originals on the map here in the UK like nothing else, it was without a doubt the king of swagger himself. For October 2022, the relationship is taken to a whole new dimension with the introduction of the Liam Gallagher x Clarks Originals Rambler.

Originally called the Nature Trek, the shoe featured the famous rambler man to the heel which would later appear on other Clarks silhouettes. Featuring the popular lifestyle design of the 1970s, the Rambler first came on the scene back in 1976 and now returns as part of a very special collaboration with the ex-Oasis frontman. Made in Portugal, the collaboration Rambler features suede & premium leather uppers with a debossed Liam Gallagher face to the heel. Finished off with the signature crepe sole underfoot & rambler man lace tags the release also features extra laces as well as a special edition LG Rambler box.
