The Moncler x adidas Originals ‘Art of Genius’ collection was recently showcased at London Fashion Week 2023 and is due to drop for the forthcoming AW23 season.
Moncler’s ongoing Genius project was recently taken to new levels of creativity at The Art of Genius event at London Fashion Week. The Genius line is certainly no stranger to collaboration having previously worked with some of the top streetwear designers on the planet such as Craig Green, Hiroshi Fujiwara & Francesco Ragazzi. The Art of Genius event however focused on the next chapter of Moncler Genius which sees the French/Italian ski brand join forces with the German sportswear label for the forthcoming AW23 season. It was the Moncler x adidas Originals ‘Art of Genius’ collection which took centre stage and for lifelong fans of both brands, it’s not surprising.
It was around this time last year that Moncler acquired the remaining 30% shares of Stone Island for $419 million. A big move in the industry which saw Carlo Rivetti’s iconic compass logo label join forces with the premium ski brand. From the original Paninaro of the late 1980s to modern day drill artists, Moncler has remained a fan favourite for its luxury outerwear whether it’s on the mountain peaks or the city streets. 2023 sees the Genius line collaborate with adidas Originals, who are no stranger to teaming up with luxury fashion brands, for a collection of down jackets and or course…plenty of 3 stripes.
With colourway inspiration from traffic lights, highlights include down jackets with oversized trefoils & adjustable sleeves drawing inspiration from the classic adidas popper pants of the late 90s. Trefoil branding meets the iconic tricolour logo across a range of heavy winter ready outerwear that will look just as good on the slopes of the Pyrenees as they will on streets of Paris.
