Patta & Tommy Jeans Celebrate NYC’s 90s Hip Hop Scene
The Patta x Tommy Jeans collaboration taps MIKE, Wiki & the Alchemist for a video lookbook and a collection that draws inspiration from New York’s 90s hip hop scene.
From blasting out classic jungle music on the hazy streets outside their Amsterdam flagship store to hosting their world famous “Sound System” event in Nigeria with Nike, Patta are as much about the music as they are the clothes. December 2022 sees them join forces once again with Tommy Jeans for a collection of 90s hip hop inspired gear straight from the 5 boroughs of NYC. Tapping MIKE, Wiki & The Alchemist with an exclusive track ‘One More’ plus a video lookbook that shows off the collection, the collaboration gives a nod to the golden era of East Coast Rap from the 1990s.
Featuring a collection of 90s inspired apparel that takes you straight back to 1993 when the Wu Tang Clan dropped ’36 Chambers’, Mobb Deep released ‘Juvenile Hell’ & Biggie Smalls signed to Puff Daddy’s Bad Boy Records. NYC inspired varsity jackets & striped rugby shirts feature 93′ throughout with stand out outerwear styles like the Patta x Tommy Jeans Regatta jacket which features a vibrant yellow colourway in classic 90s colour blocking style. There’s also Athletic hoodies which feature ‘Division 93’ to the rear, graphic tees, carpenter style baggy jeans as well as embroidered sweatshirts in an oversized fit.
The Patta x Tommy Jeans collection will be launching from selected retailers such as ASPHALTGOLD on Friday 9th December 2022. Shop the drop now via the link above, also don’t forget to follow @thats_mint_official to keep up to date with all the latest news, releases & more.
