The Stone Island x New Balance 574 trainer marks the next chapter of the compass logo’s collaboration with the Boston born sportswear label.
Ask any die hard Stone Island fan what they thought of the previous New Balance collaboration with the RC Elite trainer and the feedback won’t be the best. Bizarrely, the RC Elite is still available in full size runs from some retailers, yes retailers not resellers. Stone Island have clearly taken note as we can now unveil the next chapter of the Stone Island x New Balance partnership. This time around it’s the 574, a fan favourite from the NB archives, that gets the Stoney treatment and the end result is something that will surely keep the die hards’ happy. We can now unveil the Stone Island x New Balance 574 trainer which is rumoured to release over the coming months.
Utilising NB’s 574 silhouette, which merged together the best bits of the 575 & the 576, the classic runner first came on the sneaker scene back in the late 1980s. The classic running shoe now gets the Stoney treatment with a mixture of technical tooling & compass logo toggery. Featuring olive suede & grid meshing to the uppers with towelling to the sock liner for an added military style aesthetic. Other features include ENCAP sole technology as well as the 574’s signature heel stabiliser to the rear. Finished off with the signature compass logo to the tongue tab the forthcoming collaboration is set to release shortly although official release dates are not yet known at this stage.
