About Universal Works

Launched by founder & head designer, David Keyte, back in 2009 Universal Works takes inspiration from classic work-wear and the working class cultures of the UK. Based out of Nottingham the British brand prides itself on sourcing only the best fabrics from across the world with a heavy focus on fabrics as much as their designs. The contemporary meets heritage label now celebrates its 15th year anniversary with its “proud to be independent” ethos as strong today as it was back in the late noughties. Stuarts was founded in the heart of West London in 1967 with opening a store in Shepherds Bush. We are famously known for our contribution to the Mods and 80s Casuals subculture. Stuarts London became the ultimate destination for fashion-focused lads, travelling from all areas of England. As QPR football team was in the premier league, The Lads would use the match days as an excuse for a shopping trip to Stuarts, coaches would park outside,  to catch all the latest sought after brands. It is well known that on match days Stuarts would be mobbed with customers. Some-days a queue would even stretch outside the shop.

Today we pride ourselves on bringing you a great choice of luxury & heritage menswear from brands that we carefully select from around the world. For those who love retro fashion, the store still stocks a selection of the vintage brands that helped build our foundations like the iconic Baracuta Harrington jackets to Danner boots. We are an official authorised stockist of every brand we display which confirms our product authenticity.  Our Buyers have over 30 years of fashion experience making sure our fashion offer is on point for the current season along with our timeless classic brands.

Returns

We do offer a free first time exchange, simply contact our customer service team to arrange your free label. Alternatively, you can send it back to us for a refund.

Using a courier of your choice, send the item back to us: Doman House, 16 Doman Road, Yorktown Business Park, Camberley, GU15 3DF. We will let you know once the item has returned to us and we will process your refund if you have met our T&Cs. We request that unwanted goods must be returned to us within a minimum of 30 days and all sale items must be returned within 14 days. To exercise right to return when requesting a Refund / Exchange / E-voucher (credit note) and in compliance of the long distant selling act a maximum of 30 days is given. Faulty or damaged items can be returned within a minimum of 30 days. When returning items please ensure that you send back items in an unworn and resalable condition. Please make sure items are carefully wrapped, so that they complete the return journey in tact. Please note we do not hold any responsibility for lost or damaged items being returned back to us.
